Symposium on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (SASSP) is an annual event organized by the IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter for researchers working in the acoustic, speech and 1D signal processing area.
This free event is open for all IEEE members and non-members with the aim of bringing the university - industry community together to share and discuss the latest trends and technology in the field. This event also aims to promote IEEE Signal Processing Malaysia Chapter to Malaysian audience.
SASSP provides a good opportunity for local researchers to get together to share their work as well as exchanging ideas with others. The 1-day symposium usually comprises of a few keynote speeches followed by other presentations in a conference style setting.
Researchers interested to present their work at the symposium are invited to submit a one-page abstract of his work for review by the committee. SASSP was previously held together with IPIARTI. In 2017, The IEEE Signal Processing Society (Malaysia Section) decided
to separate SASSP from IPIARTI to focus on researchers working in the areas of Acoustic, Speech and Signal Processing. It was held in Multimedia University, Cyberjaya on 29th March 2017, with 4 presentations and over 35 participants. It was co-organized by Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Selangor.
